How licensing works
A licence is a small signed file. The app verifies the signature on your own machine — there's no activation server to call and nothing to unlock, so it works on an air-gapped network exactly as it does on a connected one.
Installing it
Open Settings → Licence, paste the key, save. No restart.
When it expires
Nothing is deleted, ever. Two weeks before expiry you get a banner you can dismiss. After the expiry date there's a further fourteen-day grace period where everything keeps working normally. Only after that does monitoring stop — and all your history, configuration and maps are still there, waiting, the moment you renew.
Moving to a different machine
A licence covers one install. Moving it is fine: stop the old one, install the licence on the new one, tell us so we can clear the old install's record. Running two at once from one licence is what the terms don't allow.
Changing tier
Email us. Upgrades are prorated, and the running install picks up the new device limit on its next licence check without you doing anything.
Offline licences
If your site can't allow outbound connections at all, ask for an offline licence. With one installed the app makes no outbound connections whatsoever — not even the daily licence check.
Licence terms
The short, readable version. The full agreement is included with the software and is what actually governs use.
- What you get. A non-exclusive, non-transferable right to run one instance of AI NetRiva, monitoring up to the device count of your tier, for as long as your licence is valid.
- What you own. Everything the software collects about your network is yours. We claim no rights over it and never receive it.
- What you may not do. Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the software; remove or alter licensing or attribution; or run more instances than you hold licences for. Reverse engineering is permitted only where law says it must be.
- Updates. Every release published while your licence is live is included. Releases published after it lapses are not, and the app will decline to self-update rather than pretend otherwise.
- Refunds. Within 30 days of purchase, for any reason, no argument. There's a 14-day trial precisely so this rarely needs using.
- Warranty. The software is provided as-is. It's a monitoring tool: it will sometimes miss things, and you should not build a safety-critical process on the assumption that it won't. Liability is limited to what you paid in the preceding twelve months.
